History The Zion Quartet is comprised of fine musicians, all native to the state of Utah. Cellist, Kelly McConkie Stewart, did her graduate studies at the State University of New York at Purchase and the Juilliard School. Violinist, Asheley Madsen Watabe, studied at the University of Michigan as well as earned her J.D. from the University of Utah. Violinist, Alice Ashton, studied music at Brigham Young University and also teaches as adjunct faculty at Snow College. Violist, Rebecca Suelzle trained at the University of Utah where she studied viola and earned her teaching certificate. Each member brings to the quartet a wide range of professional performance experience and shares a passion for chamber music and the discipline and musicianship it demands.
